My dolls are named after someone in my family that was born and raised in West Virginia. Each doll comes signed and dated with a primitive tag telling something of its namesake. The samplers are hand stitched onto a piece of tattered old quilt. The vintage buttons and other finds come from estate sales, auctions and antique shops. Her eyes are hand painted with hand stitched facial features and wool hair. Bessie's dress is made from a wonderful small blue and white stripe. The hat, apron and bloomers are made muslin. On her dress is an vintage red cross pin and she holds an old box of gause. Bessie will sit or hang. She will come signed and dated. Puss is made from muslin that has been painted , sanded and stained for a very old aged look. Susanna is made from heavily aged muslin with painted socks and shoes and wool hair. She is made from heavily aged muslin. Her eyes are done with artist pencils and her nose and mouth are hand stitched. Ruby's shoes and socks are also hand painted. In her gray sheeps wool hair you will find five very old vintage metal rollers. She carries a large metal roller and a vintage hair net. Her cloths have been aged for a prim look.
