Bring the country home!
Decorate with Marie Fox Folk Art Prints & Paintings.
www.MarieFox.com

My Americana primitive prints will bring warmth and a sense of welcome to your
traditional home or cottage style house. They will remind you of your own favorite
childhood memories while creating a colorful focus on the wall.

At my website you will find stories about each of the folk art
prints and hints on how to frame, care for and display them. Design ideas such
as decorating by theme are given. For instance, you can artfully group day
and night, farm and seacoast, the seasons or family and community.

Looking for kids bedroom decorating ideas? Want to find a special gift for a new mom?
For a childs room, Sweet Dreams and Once Upon A Time would pair nicely.
Both are intimate, interior scenes set in different rooms of an old house. Mother
remains herself as the seasons change outside. Cozy family life of a century ago is shown
in colors that are perfect for decorating kids rooms.

Think of these two bedtime prints as bookends for dreams!

Create a story of magical, protected childhood by combining Catching Fireflies with
these two primitive prints. Such a grouping invites us to look both inside and outside
a family home of long ago. Displayed on the wall of your family room, this trio would dramatize
intimate connection and help your children travel through time.

Museum-quality prints are sized 20 x 24 to fit in ready-made frames for easy country
home decorating. The image itself is 14 x 18, leaving a 3 inch white edge all around that acts
as a border and brings attention to details and colors.

As an artist I am honored to have created art twice for the White House and to have been featured on
the Today Show and the covers of Country Living and USAir magazines.

I would love to hear from you. If one of my folk art printd stirs a special memory you would like
to share, please write me: marie@mariefox.com. Thank you, Marie

Catching Fireflies: Americana

In the New England coastal town of Duxbury where I grew up, we children tried to catch fireflies at night in glass jars to read by. Here I’ve imagined this game two centuries ago.

A cheddar cheese slice of moon illuminates Ezra Weston’s house from 1808, still standing today along Powder Point. The peace and welcome of home perfectly balance the children’s summer excitement. But once the dinner bell rings, all fireflies will be freed into the magical dark. All is well as we play to the hooting of an owl and our dog’s bark.

Museum-quality print created on archival paper with fade-resistant, soy-based inks. Paper size: 20" x 24", image size: 14" x 18". Fits in ready-made frame available at craft, art and discount department stores. Shipped via US Priority Mail in super-sturdy shipping tube.

Sweet Dreams: kids room decor

Two centuries of 'goodnights' warmed this bedroom of my childhood. Sail away on the spool bed with me and my dolls as mother whispers "sweet dreams" to bless our journey. A perfect print for children's room decorating or as a gift for a new mom. Pair this image with the bedtime print Once Upon A Time and you'll have bookends for dreams!

Last Day of School: folk art

A charming colorful country schoolhouse print celebrating the first day of summer for kids now and a century ago. This country print pairs perfectly with Moonlight Hayride. In both scenes kids set out on new adventures. Night is companion to day and a red barn visually echoes a red schoolhouse.
